What makes a Charizard a Charizard?
According to Char, Sasha was just nothing but a cheap dollar store knockoff. Nothing like a real Charizard should be. Pathetic. Unable to accept that she needed to let of steam, unable to accept she would become brutal, unable to let herself be feared, like it should be part of her nature. Instead, all she did was smile and hope people liked her.
She didn't want to be like him. She wanted to be herself. But it was hard to ignore that those words had stung and hurt, and she found herself at an impasse, unable to draw comparison because she had no idea what her kind acted like. The nature documentaries she had watched? Maybe, but they treated them more like a curiosity. Charizards were feared for a reason. Should she be feared too? Were all of Char's words true or was it simply just something else said to hurt her?
Smoke in the Wind: The Problem With Excessive Domestication. A title she had looked at many times the last few days. Sasha had been rereading it, thankful for details that told her where most of the wild Charizard population was thought to reside. Curiosity called her there. All this talk, all these dates; she needed to find out if she really was a terrible example of her kind, once and for all. She felt weak from a lack of solid conclusion - and to be one of Red's Pokemon, she needed to be strong. Sasha needed to go there, or else she'd weigh them down with these thoughts.
Hopefully Red would approve...
